Sorry for the delay in replying to your Narrow Boat project. I can confirm that I only came on the trip once and that was in April 1988. Those present were JP DK MN SP MC SG & CH. We started at Trevor and sailed up to Llangollen in the pouring rain - I was steering - I remember it well! We then sailed back - over the Poncysyllte Aqueduct over the River Dee and on to the Shropshire Union Canal. Over to the Trent & Mersey and down to Harecastle where we travelled 1.5 miles in the dark on orange water through the Harecastle Tunnel.

We turned round and steamed back.

We made several attempts to contact the Club on Friday night but failed to make contact. You and MN were playing microwaves and SP was playing packet radio.

By the way, I was somewhat disappointed to note that, despite being the chairman for 2 or 3 years and being a committee member for nearly 10 I am not even listed as a past member of the club.
