Here are Martin's photos of the first trip.  He has captured the trip very well in these excellent photographs.  They are not in date order, we will sort that out later.

Anderton Boat Lift.  At this time the gears had not been removed from the top , there was no prospect of reopening and the structure was in a very sorry state.














Which Tunnel?  There are 3 possibilities, Barnton, Saltersford or Preston Brook.
